The Universal Home insulation scheme (UHIS) closes on the 28th September . So if you are considering a home loan for energy efficiency measures then you need to make your application before the 28th September.
Loans for p.v’s ( photovoltaics ) will go down from £4k to £2k from the 28th September when the UHIS scheme closes .
The home renewables loan scheme will continue to offer interest free loans to homeowners in all areas of Scotland for renewable measures:
- Heat generating technologies – Interest free loans of up to £10,000 for heat generating renewables systems such as heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar thermal. These renewable heat loans will have a repayment period of up to 8 years.
- Electricity generating technologies – Interest free loans of up to £2,000 for electricity generating renewables systems such as solar PV, wind turbines and micro hydro. These renewable electricity loans will have a repayment period of up to 4 years.
